NOBLE, John, a Representative from Bedford County; born, December 3, 1768 in Chester County, Pa.; brigadier general, Pennsylvania Militia (1812, War of 1812); farmer; engaged, lumber business; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1817-1818, 1818-1819 and 1819-1820 terms; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1830); died, May 5, 1842 in McConnellsburg, Fulton County, Pennsylvania; interred, McConnellsburg Presbyterian Cemetery, McConnellsburg, Fulton County, Pennsylvania.
