McCLURE, James, Jr., a Representative from Columbia County; born, August 10, 1774 in Northumberland County (now Columbia County), Pa.; farmer; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1815-1816 term; reelected to the House for the 1819-1820 term; seated as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a result of a contested election, January 9, 1821; died, October 4, 1850 in Bloomsburg, Columbia County, Pennsylvania; interred, Old Rosemont Cemetery, Bloomsburg, Columbia County, Pennsylvania.
