HAAS, John, a Representative from Northumberland County; born, 1761 in Trappe, Montgomery County, Pa.; private, Northampton County Militia (1784-1785); blacksmith; distiller; sawmill owner; merchant; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1819-1820 and 1820-1821 term; died, January 17, 1828 in Sunbury, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania; interred, Sunbury Cemetery, Sunbury, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania.
