BRATTON, Andrew, a Representative from Juniata and Mifflin Counties; born, May 24, 1787 in Mifflin County, Pa.; captain, Mifflin County Company, Pennsylvania Militia (1813-1814, War of 1812); farmer; unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1822); elected, commissioner, Mifflin County (1823); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1831-1832 term; reelected to the House for the 1832-1833 and 1833-1834 terms; postmaster, United States Postal Service, Bratton (1833-1835); elected, inspector, Bratton Township (1852); died, May 18, 1855 in Bratton Township, Mifflin County, Pennsylvania; interred, Bratton Cemetery, Bratton Township, Mifflin County, Pennsylvania.
