ANDERSON, William, a Representative from Cumberland County; born, circa 1789 in Ireland; captain, Pennsylvania Militia (1813-1814, War of 1812); unsuccessful campaign, auditor, Cumberland County (1808); commissioner, Carlisle Bank (1814); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1814-1815, 1815-1816, 1816-1817, 1817-1818 and 1819-1820 terms; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House for the 1818-1819 term; court crier, Cumberland County Court (1850-1853); died, January 6, 1859 in Indiana.
