THOMPSON, William, a Representative from Adams County; born, January 9, 1787 in York County, Pa; captain, 2nd Brigade, 5th Division, Pennsylvania Militia (1812-1814, War of 1812); farmer; elected as a Federalist to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1818-1819 and 1819-1820 terms; died, January 9, 1851 in Adams County, Pennsylvania; interred, Evergreen Cemetery, Gettysburg, Adams County, Pennsylvania.
