SHARON, William, a Representative from Juniata and Union Counties; born, March of 1792 in Pennsylvania; farmer; elected, commissioner, Juniata County (1826); elected as an Anti-Mason to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1831-1832 term; reelected to the House for the 1832-1833 and 1833-1834 terms; unsuccessful campaign, United States Congress (1836); reelected to the House as a Whig for the 1852 term; died, March 2, 1858 in Fayette Township, Juniata County, Pennsylvania; interred, Lost Creek, Presbyterian Cemetery, McAlisterville, Juniata County, Pennsylvania.
