O’DONNELL, James Patrick a Representative from Philadelphia County; born in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa., December 20, 1920; attended, West Catholic High School, Dobbins Vocational School, Drexel Institute, St. Joseph’s College, and the University of Pennsylvania; machinist mate, 1st Class, "U.S.S. R-13," "U.S.S. R-4," "U.S.S. R-14," "U.S.S. R-15," "U.S.S. Tigrone," "U.S.S. Apollo," "U.S.S. Proteus," "U.S.S. LST 926," United States Navy (1941-1945, World War II); plumber; regional director, Bureau of Inspection, Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry; vice chair, Ward Election Committee; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1959 term and served 6 consecutive terms thereafter; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1973 term; died, March 22, 1997 in Brigantine, Atlantic County, New Jersey; interred, Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery, Estell Manor, Atlantic County, New Jersey.
