SALLADE (SALADA), Simon, a Representative from Dauphin County; born, March 7, 1785 in Gratz, Dauphin County, Pa.; millwright; elected from the Old School party to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to serve the 1819-1820 and 1820-1821 terms; reelected to the House as a Democrat for the 1836-1837 and 1854 terms; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1849); superintendent, construction of Wiconisco Canal; died, November 8, 1854 in Elizabethville, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania; interred, Old Stone Church Cemetery, Elizabethville, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
