NEEDHAM, Michael J., a Representative from Lackawanna County; born in Scranton, Lackawanna County, Pa., October 8, 1910; attended, Saint Patrick’s High School; corporal, United States Army (1942-1944, 1945-1946, World War II); member, Young Democrats of Lackawanna County; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1946 and served 4 more consecutive terms; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1956); reelected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1958 and served 7 more consecutive terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1972); died, February 1, 1986 in Scranton, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania; interred, Fairview Memorial Park Cemetery, Elmhurst Township, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania.
