McCURDY, Donald Mervyn, a Representative from Delaware County; born in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa., June 7, 1930; graduated, Upper Darby High School; A.B., Dickinson College, 1952; LL.B., Dickinson Law School (now Penn State Dickinson Law), 1955; helicopter pilot, United States Navy (1955-1959); commander, United States Navy Reserve (14 years); lawyer; member, 11th Ward, Upper Darby Junior Committee (1960-1962); Special Assistant Deputy Attorney General, Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General (1963-1966); chair, Delaware County Citizens for Nixon-Agnew (1967); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1966 and served 3 more consecutive terms; unsuccessful candidate for reelection to the House for the 1975 term; appointed, Pennsylvania State Ethics Commission (2001-2013); died, June 19, 2022 in Pennsylvania.
