GILLETTE, Helen D., a Representative from Allegheny County; born in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pa., March 23, 1919; graduated, New Kensington High School; attended, the Pennsylvania State University; attended, University of Pittsburgh; insurance agent; accountant; elected, justice of the peace, Harrison Township (1963); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1966; reelected to serve 5 more consecutive terms; appointed, Special Committee to Investigate the Energy Crisis (1973); appointed, Select Committee to Investigate the State Water Plan (1974); not a candidate for reelection to the House (1978); died, November 25, 1991 in Harrison Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Tarentum, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
