HAMILTON, John H., Jr., a Representative from Philadelphia County; born in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa., February 9, 1919; graduated, Roxborough High School; attended, Wharton Evening School and North Philadelphia Realty School; served, 75th Field Hospital, Okinawa, Medical Corps, United States Army (1942-1946, World War II); insurance broker; executive vice president and treasurer, Boardman-Hamilton Company; member, 21st Ward Republican Executive Committee; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1965 term and served 6 consecutive terms thereafter; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1979 term; director, Roxborough-Manyunk Federal Savings & Loan Association; died, August 10, 1986 in Somers Point, Atlantic County, New Jersey; interred, George Washington Memorial Park, Plymouth Meeting, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
