RUGGIERO, Philip S., a Representative from Northampton County; born in Washington Township, Northampton County, Pa., March 4, 1928; graduated, Bangor High School; A.B., Temple University, 1950; LL.B., Temple School of Law, 1953; attorney (1953-1993); Assistant District Attorney, Northampton County (1964-1967); solicitor, Musicians Local Union, 577; solicitor, Roseto Borough; solicitor, Hanover Township; hearing examiner, Bureau of Traffic Safety, Pennsylvania Department of Revenue (8 years); member and first secretary, Northampton County Planning Commission; Area 7 Democratic Chairman; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1966, 1968, 1970, 1972, 1974, and 1976; unsuccessful candidate for reelection to the House (1978); died, November 7, 2003 in Easton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania; interred, New Catholic Cemetery, Roseto, Northampton County, Pennsylvania.
