KISTLER, Guy Augustus, a Representative from Cumberland County; born in Nanticoke, Luzerne County, Pa., November 15, 1910; graduated, Plymouth Township High School; graduated, Murphy-Newberry Schools of Merchandising, 1937; operated junior department stores; owner, Puritan Sales Company; owner, Puritan Brookwood Company; former executive vice president, Securitext, Inc.; elected, council president, Camp Hill Borough; vice chair, Cumberland County Republican Finance Committee; appointed, board, Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1961 term and served 7 more consecutive terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1976); died, February 16, 1988 in Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania; interred, Rolling Green Memorial Park, Camp Hill, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.
