WANSACZ, John, a Representative from Lackawanna and Susquehanna Counties; born in Old Forge, Lackawanna County, Pa., October 7, 1936; graduated, Old Forge High School; traffic clerk; member, Old Forge Young Democrats; member, Lackawanna County Young Democrats; member, Lackawanna County Democratic Steering Committee; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1965 term and served 4 more consecutive terms; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1972); reelected to the House for the 1975 and 1977 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1978); died, November 15, 2014 in Danville, Montour County, Pennsylvania; interred, St. Michael’s Orthodox Church Cemetery, Old Forge, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania.
