PANCOAST, Gerald Sieber, a Representative from Montgomery County; born in Audubon, Camden County, NJ, June 16, 1914; attended, Camden High School and Wenonah Military Academy; B.S., Ursinus College, 1937; A.M., University of Pennsylvania, 1940; Ph.D., University of Pennsylvania, 1956; lieutenant, junior grade, United States Naval Reserves (1944-1946, World War II); professor; second vice president, Montgomery County Boroughs Association; member, Collegeville Republican Organization Committee; elected, council member and president, Collegeville (1957-1961); elected, mayor, Collegeville (1961-1965); co-chair, Montgomery County Republican Campaign Committee (1962); chair, Registration Drive, Montgomery County Republican Committee (1963-1964); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1965 term and served 6 more consecutive terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1978); gubernatorial appointee, Pennsylvania State Ethics Commission (1985-1992); died, March 18, 1992 in Collegeville, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
