WILT, Walter William, a Representative from Blair County; born in Altoona, Blair County, Pa., April 15, 1918; graduated, Hollidaysburg High School, 1936; sergeant, United States Army (1943-1945, World War II); telephone repairman (40 years); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1962 and served 6 more consecutive terms; appointed, chair, Special Committee to Investigate the Energy Crisis (1973); unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1976); died, September 28, 2004 in State College, Centre County, Pennsylvania; interred, Carson Valley Cemetery, Duncansville, Blair County, Pennsylvania.
