ZORD, Joseph Victor, Jr., a Representative from Allegheny County; born in Baldwin Township, Allegheny County, Pa., May 2, 1910; graduated, Pittsburgh public schools; attended, Curry College; attended, University of Pittsburgh; commissioned colonel, staff of the Governor of Kentucky (1968); realtor; insurance agent; co-founder and councilman, Whitehall borough (1948-1952); justice of the peace, Whitehall (1952-1960); Republican chair, Whitehall; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1964; served 7 more consecutive terms; appointed, Legislative Budget and Finance Committee (1971-1980); unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1980); died, February 7, 1994 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, Jefferson Memorial Park, Pleasant Hills, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
