SPENCER, Warren H., a Representative from McKean, Potter and Tioga Counties; born in Wellsboro, Tioga County, Pa., August 22, 1921; graduated, Wellsboro High School; A.B., Dickinson College, 1948; J.D., Dickinson School of Law (now Penn State Dickinson Law), 1950; sergeant, Company B, 1st Parachute Training Battalion, United States Army (1941-1944, World War II); attorney; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1963 term and served 11 consecutive terms thereafter; appointed, chair, Special Committee to Investigate Closing of the Blossburg State Hospital (1973); not a candidate for reelection to the House (1984); appointed, Pennsylvania Commission on Interstate Cooperation (1967-1980); died, March 11, 1991 in Stuart, Martin County, Florida; interred, Wellsboro Cemetery, Wellsboro, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.
