PIEVSKY, Max, a Representative from Philadelphia County; born in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa., July 4, 1925; graduated, Central High School; attended, School of Business Administration; former constable, 54th Ward (1957-1970); Special Investigator, State Department of Revenue; chair, 54th Ward Democratic Executive Committee; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1967 term and served 11 consecutive terms thereafter; elected, chair, Democratic Appropriations Committee (1987-1990); appointed, Pennsylvania Commission on Interstate Cooperation (1975-1978); appointed, board, Pennsylvania School Employees’ Retirement System (1983-1990); not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1991 term; appointed, Delaware River Port Authority (1994-1996).
