MILLER, Marvin E., a Representative from Lancaster County; born in Lime Rock, Lancaster County, Pa., May 28, 1927; graduated, Lititz High School, 1945; served, United States Marine Corps Reserves (1945); newspaperman; editor, Octoraro Newspapers; reporter, Intelligencer Journal and Lancaster New Era (1946-1966); member, Republican Legislative Campaign Committee (1964-1966); member, Republican County Campaign Committees; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1967 term and served 4 more consecutive terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1977 term; gubernatorial appointee, Pennsylvania Crime Victims Compensation Board (1982-1987); died, October 4, 1999 in Lititz, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania; interred, Moravian Cemetery, Lititz, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
