GABLER, Matthew M., a Representative from Clearfield and Elk Counties; born in DuBois, Clearfield County, Pa., July 13, 1983; graduated, DuBois Central Catholic High School, 2002; B.A., magna cum laude, political science, Bucknell University, 2006; commander, Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 424th Multifunctional Medical Battalion, United States Army Reserve (2006-2012); major, medical logistics officer, 28th Infantry Division, Pennsylvania National Guard (2012-2018, Operation Spartan Shield); secretary of the General staff, 28th Infantry Division, Pennsylvania National Guard (2019-2021); operations officer, Pennsylvania Medical Readiness Detachment, Pennsylvania National Guard (2021-2024); unit commander, Pennsylvania National Guard (2024-present); research analyst, Republican Caucus, Pennsylvania House of Representatives; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 2009 term; reelected to the House for 5 more consecutive terms; appointed, Deputy Whip (2019-2020); appointed, Select Committee on Property Tax Reform (2012); not a candidate for reelection to the House (2020); executive director, Pennsylvania Forest Products Association (2020-2024); Chief Operating Officer, Republican Appropriations Committee, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (2025-present).
