LOGAN, Henry, a Representative from York County; born, April 14, 1784 in Monaghan Township, York County, Pa.; lieutenant colonel, 10th company, 19th Regiment, 2nd Brigade, 5th Division, Pennsylvania Militia (1812-1814, War of 1812); farmer; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1818-1819 and 1819-1820 terms; elected, Pennsylvania State Senate (1826-1831); elected, United States Congress (1835-1839); elected, commissioner, York County (1841-1842); director, Carlisle Deposit Bank; director, Allen & East Pennsboro Mutual Fire Insurance Company; died, December 20, 1866 near Dillsburg, York County, Pennsylvania; interred, Monaghan United Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Dillsburg, York County, Pennsylvania.
