GERNAND, George Manes, a Representative from Berks and Schuylkill Counties; born, July 19, 1771 in Maiden Creek, Berks County, Pa.; farmer; elected as an Old School candidate to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1819-1820 and 1820-1821 terms; died, February 15, 1853 in Cumru Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania; interred, Saint John’s Reformed Old Churchyard, Sinking Spring, Berks County, Pennsylvania.
