ROSEBERRY, John W., a Representative from Berks and Schuylkill Counties; born, 1793 in New Jersey; attended, Lafayette College; private, 138th Regiment, Pennsylvania Militia (1814, War 1812); lawyer (1811-1825); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1819-1820 term; civil engineer, Schuylkill Canal; secretary, Shenandoah Water Company; appointed, deputy attorney general, Schuylkill County (1824); died, January 28, 1825 in Orwigsburg, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania; interred, Saint Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Orwigsburg, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania.
