KOHLER, Johannes “John,” a Representative from Berks and Schuylkill Counties; born, March 13, 1769 in Richmond Township, Berks County, Pa.; unsuccessful campaign, auditor, Berks County (1811, 1812, 1817); unsuccessful campaign, auditor, Berks and Schuylkill Counties (1813); unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1816, 1818, 1820); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1819-1820 term; died, January 31, 1849 in Greenwich Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania; interred, New Bethel Zion Church Cemetery, Grimville, Berks County, Pennsylvania.
