SOUDER, Jacob, a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, March 21, 1781 in Philadelphia County, Pa.; bricklayer; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1818-1819, 1819-1820 and 1821-1822 terms; unsuccessful campaign, commissioner, Northern Liberties Township (1819); unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1820); died, July 22, 1854 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interred, Laurel Hill Cemetery, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.
