JONES, Nathan, a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, circa 1752; served, Revolutionary War; unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1806, 1820); unsuccessful campaign, auditor, Philadelphia County (1809, 1817); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1818-1819, 1819-1820, 1821-1822 and 1822-1823 terms; appointed, guardian of the poor, Philadelphia County (1823-1824); died, February 16, 1830 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interred, Second Presbyterian Church Burial Ground, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; removed to Mount Vernon Cemetery, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.
