CONNELY, William, a Representative from Crawford, Erie, Mercer, Venango and Warren Counties; born, July 22, 1777 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa.; surveyor (1795); Methodist minister (1812); engaged, real estate; merchant; appointed, surveyor, Venango County (1817, 1840-1844); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1819-1820 and 1820-1821 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1821-1822 term; appointed, justice of the peace (1822-1837); elected, burgess, Franklin (1829); elected, associate judge, Venango County (1862); died, May 23, 1871 in Franklin, Venango County, Pennsylvania; interred, Franklin Cemetery, Franklin, Venango County, Pennsylvania.
