HUNT, Joshua, a Representative from Chester County; born, January 17, 1785 in East Caln Township, Chester County, Pa.; engaged, newspaper business; farmer; sheep breeder; elected as a Federalist to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1818-1819, 1819-1820 and 1820-1821 terms; reelected to the House for the 1823-1824, 1824-1825 and 1825-1826 term; elected, Pennsylvania State Senate (1826-1830); elected, delegate, Democratic State Convention (1836, 1845); died, March 3, 1857 in East Caln Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania.
