ROHRER, John, Jr., a Representative from Lancaster County; born, March 14, 1778 in Lancaster County, Pa.; manufacturer; elected as a Federalist to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1818-1819, 1819-1820 and 1820-1821 terms; appointed, justice of the peace (1822); unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania State Senate (1828); elected, director of the poor, Lancaster County (1838-1839); elected, clerk of the Orphans’ Court, Lancaster County (1839-1840); died, January 30, 1840 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania; interred, Mylin-Rohrer Graveyard, Lampeter, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
