PATTERSON, James Agnew, a Representative from Lancaster County; born, October 7, 1775 in East Donegal Township, Lancaster County, Pa.; major, Pennsylvania Milita (1812-1814, War 1812); farmer; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1818-1819 term; reelected to the House as an Anti-Mason to the House for the 1832-1833 and 1833-1834 terms; died, May 30, 1863 in Mount Joy, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania; interred, Donegal Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Mount Joy, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
