NOON, Philip, a Representative from Cambria and Somerset Counties; born, 1784 in Ireland; farmer; elected, sheriff, Cambria County (1810-1813); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1818-1819 term; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1819, 1820); appointed, prothonotary, clerk of courts, register and recorder, Cambria County (1823-1833); attended, Democratic State Convention (1835); appointed, associate judge, Cambria County (1843-1851); died, March 3, 1860 in Ebensburg, Cambria County, Pennsylvania; interred, Old Holy Name Cemetery, Ebensburg, Cambria County, Pennsylvania.
