CONNELLY, Bernard, Jr., a Representative from Cambria and Somerset Counties; served, Maryland Militia (War of 1812); land surveyor; appointed deputy surveyor, Somerset County (1827, 1830); elected as an Anti-Mason to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1832-1833 and 1833-1834 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1834-1835 term; elected, justice of the peace, Somerset County (1830-1838); elected, delegate, Pennsylvania Anti-Masonic Convention (1839); died, August 5, 1848 in Turkey Foot, Somerset County, Pennsylvania.
