LEWIS, Abner, a Representative from Delaware County; born, circa 1779; farmer; elected as a Federalist to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1820-1821 term; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1821); reelected to the House as a Democrat for the 1823-1824 term; reelected to the House as a Federalist for the 1824-1825 term; elected, auditor, Delaware County (1828); justice of the peace Edgemont Township (1836); elected, school director, Media (1836); elected, justice of the peace, Radnor (1840-1849); died, January 26, 1849 in Radnor, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.
