DUNLOP, James, a Representative from Franklin County; born, 1795 in Chambersburg, Franklin County, Pa.; graduated, law, Dickinson College, 1812; attorney (1817-1857); elected, Pennsylvania State Senate (1824-1825); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1831-1832 term; chair, Committee on the Abolition of Lotteries (1832); reelected to the House in a Special Election, February 11, 1834; Sworn-In, February 15, 1834 to serve the remaining 1833-1834 term; engaged, manufacturing; elected, delegate, Pennsylvania Constitutional Convention (1837-1838); died, April 21, 1857 in Baltimore, Maryland; interred, Allegheny Cemetery, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
