McCULLOH, Thomas Grubb, a Representative from Franklin County; born, April 20, 1785 in Greencastle, Franklin County, Pa.; quartermaster, Findlay’s Battalion, Pennsylvania Militia (1814, War of 1812); studied law under Andrew Dunlop; lawyer (1804-1848); farmer; editor, Franklin Repository; elected, special election, United States Congress (1820-1821); elected as a National Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representative for the 1831-1832 term; reelected to the House as a Democrat for the 1832-1833 term; reelected as a National Republican to the 1834-1835 term; president, Cumberland Valley Railroad Co.; president, Bank of Chambersburg; died, September 10, 1848 in Chambersburg, Franklin County, Pennsylvania; interred, Falling Spring Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Chambersburg, Franklin County, Pennsylvania.
