BOND, Samuel, a Representative from Columbia, Northumberland and Union Counties; born, September 30, 1754 in Cecil County, Md.; farmer; commissioned, justice of the peace, Northumberland County (1797); elected, commissioner, Northumberland County (1806-1809); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1811-1812, 1812-1813 and 1813-1814 term; reelected to the House as a Democratic Republican for the 1816-1817 term, and as a Democrat for the 1817-1818 and 1818-1819 terms; president, Democratic State Convention (1820); died, March 3, 1838 in Columbia County, Pennsylvania.
