BARRETT, Alba Cady, a Representative from Northumberland County; born, February 11, 1795 in Hinsdale, Berkshire County, Ma.; private, Pennsylvania Militia (War of 1812); school master and teacher; merchant; postmaster, United States Postal Service, Danville; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1833-1834 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House; died, September 3, 1849 in Northumberland, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania.
