CHRISTY, Daniel, a Representative from Mifflin County; born, 1774 in Pennsylvania; elected, sheriff, Mifflin County (1812-1815); farmer; chairman, Selinsgrove and North Branch Railroad; unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1819); elected as a Federalist to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1822-1823 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House; appointed, associate judge, Juniata County (1831-1842); died, September 27, 1847 in Mifflintown, Juniata County, Pennsylvania; interred, Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery, Mifflintown, Juniata County, Pennsylvania.
