BURSON, Thomas, a Representative from Greene County; born, November 16, 1781 in Green County, Pa.; farmer; attorney; unsuccessful campaign, sheriff, Greene County; appointed, justice of the peace (1815-1816); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1834-1835, 1835-1836 and 1836-1837 terms; elected, associate judge, Greene County (1843-1847; 1848-1851); died, January 11, 1864 in Jefferson Township, Greene County, Pennsylvania; interred, Burson Cemetery, Morgan Township, Greene County, Pennsylvania.
