RAMSEY, William, a Representative from Juniata, Mifflin and Union Counties; born, 1786 in Pennsylvania; farmer; elected, commissioner, Mifflin County (1821); elected as a Whig to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1838-1839 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House; justice of the peace, Armagh Township (1849-1854); died, October 21, 1856 in Mifflin County, Pennsylvania; interred, Milroy Presbyterian Cemetery, Milroy, Mifflin County, Pennsylvania.
