MEALEY / MEALY, Dr. Samuel, a Representative from Cumberland County; born, May 1, 1782 in Carlisle, Cumberland County, Pa.; graduated, William and Mary College; surgeon, 5th Regiment, Pennsylvania Militia (1813-1814, War of 1812); physician; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1818-1819 term; died, February 17, 1872 in Brighton, Washington County, Iowa; interred, Hillcrest Cemetery, Brighton, Washington County, Iowa.
