WOODBURN, James, a Representative from Cumberland County; born, 1788 in Pennsylvania; tavern keeper; proprietor, Logan Hotel; elected, auditor, Cumberland County (1808-1810); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in a Special Election, March 3, 1835; Sworn In, March 10, 1835 to serve the remaining 1834-1835 term; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House for the 1835-1836 term; reelected to the House for the 1836-1837, 1837-1838 and 1838-1839 terms; farmer; died, August 20, 1863 in Lower Mifflin Township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania; interred, Newville Cemetery, Newville, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.
