WORMLEY, John Jacob, a Representative from Cumberland County; born, November 26, 1758 in Lancaster County, Pa.; private, 3rd Battalion, 5th Company, Continental Army (1777-1778, Revolutionary War); saw mill operator; grist mill operator; proprietor, blacksmith shop; proprietor, tavern; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1818-1819 term; died, January 20, 1825 in East Pennsboro Township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania; interred, Poplar Church Cemetery, Camp Hill, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.
