(1840); judge, Carroll County, Il. (1850-1853); director, Savanna Branch Railroad Company (1851); proprietor, The Republican (1852); director, Mount Carroll Seminary; minister; died, September 30, 1857 in Mount Carroll, Carroll County, Illinois; interred, Oak Hill Cemetery, Mount Carroll, Carroll County, Illinois.
