WILLIAMS, Joseph, a Representative from Susquehanna County; born, circa 1785 in Connecticut; farmer; elected, commissioner, Susquehanna County (1828); elected, sheriff, Susquehanna County (1830-1832); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1834-1835 term; appointed, justice of the peace; died, March 18, 1862 in Bridgewater Township, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania; interred, Williams Pond Cemetery, Bridgewater Township, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania.
