BRODHEAD, Albert Gallatin, a Representative from Luzerne County; born, August 16, 1799 in Delaware, Pike County, Pa.; farmer; appointed, deputy surveyor, Pike County (1821); owner, mercantile and lumber business; engaged, produce and coal shipping; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1831-1832, 1832-1833, 1833-1834 terms; postmaster, United States Postal Service, Conyngham (now Sybertsville) (1837-1838); unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1838); died, July 18, 1880 in Bethlehem, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania; interred, Nisky Hill Cemetery, Bethlehem, Northampton County, Pennsylvania.
