HARRISON, George, a Representative from Bucks County; born, November 27, 1780 in Hulmeville, Bucks County, Pa.; farmer; unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1806, 1807, 1809); cashier, The Farmers National Bank of Bucks County (1814-1823); elected as a Democratic Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1814-1815 term; reelected to the House as a Democrat to the 1825-1826, 1826-1827 and 1827-1828 terms; unsuccessful campaign, United States Congress (1830); reelected to the House as an Oppositionist to the 1834-1835 and 1835-1836 terms; elected, delegate and secretary, State Oppositionist Convention (1834); elected, president, Bucks County Anti-Masonic Convention (1838); died, January of 1852 in Hulmeville, Bucks County, Pennsylvania; interred, Beechwood Cemetery, Bensalem, Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
